A different way to support your young person
Lego-based therapy offers a gentle, structured way for children and young people to build confidence and connection without the pressure of having to talk about things directly. Lego based therapy can be used in individual sessions or as part of a group, working alongside others in a calm and supported environment.
You might notice your young person:
-
Finds group situations overwhelming
-
Becomes anxious in social situations
-
Becomes frustrated or shuts down
-
Worries about getting things wrong
-
Finds it hard to express feelings, or doesn’t engage with talking
-
Struggling with friendships
-
Becomes quiet, withdrawn, or unsure

How it works in groups
As a therapist specialising in counselling children and young people and a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience; I create small, carefully matched, age appropriate groups of 2 – 4 young people.
Each session is structured in a way that helps young people feel safe and know what to expect, while still allowing space for their individual needs and personalities.
I work to understand and connect with each young person and support them to:
-
Communicate more comfortably
-
Take turns and share ideas
-
Manage frustration
-
Feel part of something
Sessions run over a 6-week block, with the same young people attending each week, allowing confidence and trust to build gradually over time.

Next steps for groups
I form groups gradually to ensure each young person feels comfortable and supported.
If you’d like to explore whether this might be right for your child, feel free to get in touch. We can have a brief chat so I can understand a little more about them and what they’re finding difficult.
I’ll then let you know if there’s a suitable group forming, or keep you updated as one develops.
If needed, individual sessions can be a helpful starting point in the meantime.
Alternatively you're very welcome to contact me with an already formed group.
