If You Need Support Right Now

If things are feeling overwhelming, or you are struggling to cope, it can be important to have support in the moment.

While I may not always be available immediately, there are services you may wish to access for support at any time.

Urgent support

If you are in immediate danger or at risk of harm:

  • Call 999 – emergency services (24/7)

If you need urgent mental health support:

  • Samaritans – call 116 123 (free, 24/7)

  • NHFT Mental Health Crisis Line – call 0800 448 0828 (24/7)

  • NHS 111 – for urgent advice on mental or physical health (24/7)

Text and online support

If speaking on the phone feels difficult, you can access support by text or online:

  • Shout – text SHOUT to 85258 (24/7)

  • YoungMinds – text YM to 85258 (under 19s)

  • The Mix – text THEMIX to 85258 (under 25s)

  • CAMHS Live – online chat with a mental health practitioner
    (Monday–Friday, 9am–7pm)

Support for children and young people

  • The Mix – call 0808 808 4994 or online chat

  • YoungMinds – information and support

  • Papyrus (HOPELINEUK) – call 0800 068 4141

  • Hope Again – support for young people experiencing bereavement
