Counselling for Adults

Life can feel difficult in ways that aren’t always visible from the outside. You may be managing day-to-day responsibilities, work, relationships or family life, while carrying thoughts and feelings that feel heavy, confusing or hard to put into words.

Sometimes, things have felt this way for a long time.

A space to explore at your own pace

I offer a calm, supportive and confidential space where you can begin to explore whatever you are facing, without pressure or judgement.

You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. We can take things at your pace, gently making sense of your experiences together.

You might be experiencing

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be experiencing:

  • anxiety or feeling constantly on edge

  • low mood or depression

  • low self-esteem or self-doubt

  • feeling overwhelmed or burnt out

  • relationship or family difficulties

  • the impact of trauma or difficult childhood experiences

  • the emotional impact of chronic illness, pain or fatigue

  • a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected

  • or simply a feeling that something isn’t quite right

How counselling can help

Counselling offers a space where you can begin to feel heard, understood and less alone in what you are experiencing.

Over time, this can help you:

  • understand yourself more clearly

  • make sense of past and present experiences

  • develop more supportive ways of coping

  • feel more grounded and connected

  • begin to move forward in a way that feels right for you

My approach

I work integratively, which means I tailor therapy to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

My work is grounded in creating a safe, relational space, where trust can build over time. I have a particular interest in the impact of difficult childhood experiences and how these can shape how we feel about ourselves and others in adulthood.

Alongside this, I recognise the emotional impact of living with chronic illness or ongoing health conditions, and the ways this can affect identity, relationships and everyday life.

Getting Started

If you are considering counselling, you are very welcome to get in touch.

I offer an initial conversation where we can talk through what you are looking for and whether this feels like the right support for you.
